Why should you extend your Vietnam visa?

1) Vietnam Tourist visa: A single-entry tourist visa to Vietnam is usually issued for a period of one month. 2) Diplomatic and Official visas: In order to get a diplomatic or official visa, you need to submit an official letter from government agencies in your country, or then from international organizations, embassies, or other accredited organizations. There is normally no application fee charged for such a visa, unless there is an amount that is agreed upon by both countries.
3) Business visas: Business visas are only valid for a period of three to six months. You can enter Vietnam multiple times during the course of their validity and you can also work in Vietnam. The charges for Business are almost twice that of a tourist visa. You can apply for a business visa much more easily once you get to Vietnam with a tourist visa.
4) Student visas: You can get a student visa very easily if you are enrolled in a university in Vietnam. You can also enter Vietnam on a tourist visa, then get admission to a course and then apply for a student visa. If you do this, you will need to get your visa status changed through the immigration department. It will be much easier if you apply for a student visa through a travel company.
5) Extended visas: If you want an extension of your tourist, business, or student visa you need to demonstrate a good reason as to why you want an extension. You can get your tourist visa for Vietnam extended for one more month through a visa extension fee of US $ 10. However, you can hire a travel agency to deal with the piles of paperwork involved in the extension process.
6) Single Entry vs. Multiple Entry visas: If you want to enter Vietnam multiple times during the valid period of your visa, you should consider getting a multiple entry visa. If you do not do so, you will have to go through the entire visa process again. With a multiple entry visa, you can visit Cambodia and Laos and then return to Vietnam. However, you should get a re-entry visa before leaving Vietnam. You should contact a reputed travel agency for applying for a re-entry visa. They will take care of all the paperwork and complete the process within a couple of days.
