Vietnam visa is an important document to enter Vietnam for foreigners, if you want to visit Vietnam, you have to obtain Vietnam visa before landing at Vietnam international airport. presently, Vietnam Immigration Department offers 2 ways for foreign tourists to obtain entry visa: obtain the visa at embassy and obtain Vietnam visa on arrival. Many people leave comment that the simple required documents of visa on arrival help them have peace of mind when apply for a visa to Vietnam. Nevertheless, not all tourists are eligible for visa on arrival. Only those who are flying to Vietnam are able to get a visa on arrival and those who enter Vietnam at border must go directly to the Vietnam Embassy/Consulate to submit Vietnam visa application. The following are obligatory documents to obtain a visa for Vietnam.
1. Vietnam Embassy/Consulate
When obtaining a Vietnamese visa at embassy, the tourists are asked to submit:
- A completed application form (available at the embassy or you can download on the website of embassy)
- Original passport with at least two blank pages to get visa stamp. The passport must be valid 1 month prior the date of exit from Vietnam or at least 6 months from the date of arrival to Vietnam.
- 2 passport-sized photos (one is glued on the application form)
- Visa fee (in cash)
- A self-addressed envelope with postal charge if you would like to receive your Vietnam visa by post.
- Processing time: 3-5 days
2. Vietnam visa on arrival
General requirements: Enter Vietnam by air, hold a valid passport
* Documents required for visa approval letter process:
- An online visa application form
- Vietnam visa fee (paid online with credit/debit card)
* Documents required for stamping process at arrival airport:
- Visa approval letter
- Original passport
- Entry and exit form (download on the website or sent by us with visa approval letter)
- 01 passport-sized photo
- Stamping fee (in cash)
- Processing time: 2 working days
