Vietnam visa on arrival for Philippines citizens
Philippines citizens can visit Vietnam Visa Waiver Program (VWP) for 21 days for tourism or business. In order to travel without a visa on VWP program, your passport must have at least 1 month validity after the date of exit from Vietnam. For those who travel by air, you should have a minimum of 6 months validity to meet requirements of the airlines.
What if I would like to stay longer than 21 days?
If you would like to stay in Vietnam longer than authorized time, you have to apply for a visa prior to departure date. With objective of stimulating tourism industry, Vietnam had introduced a simple and effortless Vietnam Visa On Arrival facility that enables foreigners to submit application online. Therefore, you don’t have to spend too much time preparing visa.
How Vietnam Visa On Arrival works?
Vietnam Visa On arrival process is a bit different to popular Visa On Arrival programs that you’ve ever heard about before. To be granted a visa stamp on arrival, you must obtain an approval letter, which guarantees your entitlement to collect visa upon arrival. Please be noted that the letter of approval works at airports (Hanoi, Da Nang, Ho Chi Minh) only. If you’re travelling by land or sea, you will need to obtain the visa in advance from the nearest Embassy of Vietnam.
The process of getting visa approval is explained exactly below:
Step 1: You click on “Apply Online” to start filling out the application form. Be careful when entering your full name, date of birth and passport number. Provide the expected date of travel if you haven’t booked the flight yet.
Step 2: You use credit/debit card to make payment for your application. If you get any troubles with the payment, please email to vietnamvs.com@gmail.com for assistance.
It takes 2 business days (excluding weekends and national holidays) for processing for regular case. Use Rush Visa Service to receive the visa approval on the same day in case of emergency.
When the processing is done, we will deliver the approval with an entry-exit form via email. The time of delivery is usually around 6:00 pm (Vietnam) every weekday.
On arrival stamping process
At Visa Landing Counter of arrival airport, please submit the followings:
- A copy of visa approval letter
- Completed entry and exit form
- Origin passport with at least 6 months of validity
- 01 passport- sized photo
- Stamping fee by cash ($180). Only US. Dollars and VN dong are accepted.
Time required for customs officer to give you a visa stamp is 15 minutes. The waiting time may be longer when there is a long queue of people at Landing Visa Counter.
