Purposes of visa and passport
As being said above, both passport and visa are required to gain access and cross the country’s borders. In the passport, there will be some specific information for the identity of the holder such as name, date of birth, photograph, nationality and a signature. The purpose of a passport is to show other nations that the passport holder are a legitimate citizen of your particular nation of origin which is very crucial to be accepted to enter a foreign country.
A visa will specify reason for the travel, a limit on the duration of the foreigner’s stay, the date he/she may enter and the number of permitted visits. Therefore, a visa is an official permission that allows its holder to enter a particular country and temporarily remain within, or leave that country. Not all of travellers are eligible to be issued a visa but there are some requirements that the passport holders need to meet. The Immigration Department of a nation can refuse to issue visa to a foreigner for any reasons. Therefore, a visa will make it safer and more secured for a country, protect the country from risks of terrorists or illegal immigrants.
In conclusion, both passport and visa are indispensable documents for travelling overseas. Not only do they enable a country to identify its foreigners but they also allow the country to make wise decision on whether a foreigner is eligible to enter the country or not. Thanks to that, the security of a country will be preserved and ensured.
