New policy for visa exemption for foreign tourists to Vietnam
The Vietnamese Government Office has been issued foreign tourists whose nationalities are included in the Vietnam visa exemption list will be allowed to stay longer in Vietnam and extend their stay up to 30 days, insisted of 15 days.
The police and relevant agencies have been instructed to cooperate with the tourism ministry to apply this new policy for visa-exempted tourists if they are “guaranteed” by a tourism agency and can show their valid return ticket.
Vietnam’s visa waiver policy is eligible for passport holders of Denmark, Finland, Norway, Sweden, Japan, Russia and South Korea. Accordingly, those come from these countries are currently allowed to stay in Vietnam for only 15 days per visit and have to wait for at least 30 days before the next entry.
Vietnam has offered 30-day visa exemption for tourists from the 10-member Association of Southeast Asian Nations; apart from Brunei passport holders receive a 14-day waiver.
The tourists are from England, France, Germany, Spain, Italia will be exempted Vietnam visa within 15 days from entry to Vietnam.
The newest decision was enforced from July 1st, 2015 to June 30th, 2016.
Vietnam Government has the policy to expand the countries where are exempted Vietnam visa to develop the tourism.
The citizens of the countries above will be exempted the Vietnam entry visa within 15 days from entering to Vietnam, don’t clarify the type of passport or the purpose of entry.
